We’re making great progress with post-production of White Awake. Yesterday I completed a second edit of the film and it’s not far off from being finalised (aka “picture lock”). Usually, editing a short film would be a more drawn out affair but because White Awake is fairly minimal in how it is cut, and because it is a performance driven piece (with clear moments of strong acting), I feel we will have an edited film sooner than expected.
That’s only part of the story, however. Once we have picture lock we’ll be getting a sound editor and mixer on board to take care of the sound design. Our composer, Paul, is already busy writing music cues as we speak, which itself will add a whole other layer to the film. The final step will be colour grading the edit.
We’ll keep you posted on progress as it happens.
